2001-05-03-17:17 Touch up Construction Structures to reflect DMware Opening (orcmid)
The construction structure here is touched up to reflect the DMware construction-structure audit.  This is a precursor to inclusion of the DMA 1.0 specification and providing better connectivity among the materials here.

2000-01-03-10:20 Replace references to DMAware (orcmid)
1. References to InfoNuovo/DMAware are replaced by links to InfoNuovo/DMware.
2. The creation lines and the VSS tag blocks on the ends of pages are adjusted for consistent font usage.
3. Some incorrect dates (year typos) in this construction log are corrected from 1997 to 1999.

1999-12-24-12:34 Correct index.htm (orcmid)
1. Change misspelling of "site" as "side" in description of relationship of /dma mini-web to the InsideDMA and DMAware materials on infonuovo.com.
2. Run the spelling checker on index.htm.

1999-12-17-15:17 Post complete Version 0.04 CSDocs Foundation (orcmid)
1. update the default.htm page to offer version 0.04 and the CSDF004.ZIP.
2. Create a "Previous Versions" section that provides access to the on-line version of version 0.03 and the CSDF003.ZIP that has everything.  The CSDocsFoundation003.doc file is deleted from the web site and made available only in the ZIP file.
3. The VServer mirror site is updated from the checked-in development site material, all now-extraneous files are now deleted.
4. The VServer infonuovo.com site is refreshed to be in step with the current mirror.
1999-12-17-13:16 Publish complete Version 0.04 CSDocs Foundation Proposal (orcmid)
1. Checked-in the proposal on the Conclave InfoNuovo.com development web.
2. Built CSDF004.ZIP consisting of only the material needed for the HTML version of the document.
3. Posted that ZIP to the CSDocs subcommittee at once.
1999-12-17-09:48 Continue Version 0.04 Editing (orcmid)
1. Corrected indenting in the document to have a consistent left margin and indented body paragraphs from beginning to end.
2. Annotated the references in sections 18.2 and 18.3 so there is more context and time sequence for people.
3. Added text for section 12, Impact on Existing Systems, that addresses independence and non-interference of CSDocs on custom implementation of compound-structured documents that may already have occured with DMA 1.0 implementations.
4. Put a placeholder in section 8, Sample Usage.  I don't want to do this, but samples are all speculative at this point, and require diagrams and lots of worked material.  These need to be introduced separately.
1999-12-15-10:26 Edit Version 0.04 (orcmid)
1. Changed the names of the #include files for CSDocs and also clarified the dependence of DMXCSVAR.H on DMA_INIT_ID to generate initialized external variables.  Note: It also looks like there may be a bug in the conditional definition of DMA_DECL_ID in DMAIDVAR.H.  I think this conditional behavior needs to be documented in the header and it may be better placed in DMACOM.H to be maintained in a single spot and covered under the DMACOM.H license.
2. I added and edited the new references provided by Richard Sauvain.
1999-12-09-10:50 Clone Version 0.04 Materials (orcmid)
I want to keep old versions available and at the same time work a new "line" for updated Foundation versions, examples, etc.  I want the new "line" to have a continuous history back into the older versions.  I do this by
1. Branching the shared copies in the InfoNuovo VServer upload area: csdf003.zip, CSDocsFoundation03.doc, and CSDocsFoundation03.html.  This leaves these files, with complete history to here, in VSS and in the upload image area.  The files are not checked out and will not be.   They are labelled "Final version 0.03 material."
2. Deleting the shared copies of any of these from the csdocs/sketch site where it was originally created.  The sketch will be rebuilt later without this noise.  The version in InfoNuovo Conclave csdocs/foundation has complete history in VSS.
3. Renaming the three files in InfoNuovo Conclave csdocs/foundation (to csdf004.zip, CSDocsFoundation04.doc, and CSDocsFoundation04.html) and checking them out there.   Version 0.04 will be built in HTML and then the .doc and .zip will be derived from the HTML version.  This is an example of parallel development of multiple renditions that could be used as an illustration for virtual derivation and virtual dependencies.   There is a lot being done here manually, to preserve provenance under VSS, that can be illustrated using the DMA versioning model too.
4. Deleting the 0.03 versions (but not material shared across multiple versions, like the images) from the off-line csdocs/foundation files.  Deleting through FrontPage 98 doesn't always work because of odd interactions with VSS.  It is necessary to go into the file system and delete the files directly.
5. Bringing the 0.03 version back by sharing the ones that were branched in the InfoNuovo VServer area.   This is keeps the references to old versions in the CSDocs Foundation home page all tidy and accurate.  It takes some fiddling with refresh links and VSS undo checkout operations to have FP98 and VSS 6.0 get their story straight and to have the 0.03 material not checked out everywhere.
6. At the end of this process, there is new material in InfoNuovo Conclave csdocs/foundation for developing version 0.04 but the home page is still all about 0.03 and the 0.03 material is still here.
1999-12-09-10:14 Set up for Version 0.04 (orcmid)
1. Corrected incorrect-year (1998 instead of 1999) on this page.
2. Corrected the CSDocs home page to provide file-size information for the two downloadable formats.  Added details on the compatibility of the Microsoft Word RTF format.
3. Add captions to the construction log entries here, and recover some of the key history as a matter of practicing accountability.

1999-12-08-14:30 Publish Clean CSDocs Foundation area on InfoNuovo (orcmid)
1. Edited the heading in this banner to be more compact.
2. Added a simple introduction and content table to the foundation home page.
3. Brought the Draft 0.03 Foundation html and doc files from where they were developed in the off-line sketch area to here.  Brought the two versions (GIF and Visio) of the image file here also.   [The sketch web is now out of date.  It is not being touched as part of this maintenance.]
4. Brought over the HTML pages for the class-definition changes/additions involved in this proposal: dmaClass_DMA, dmaClass_CSRelationship, and dmaClass_DocVersion
5. Added boilerplate about this not being the official material and that the latest information is to be found on the DMA site, etc., as part of a Download Locations section on the home page.
6. Added CSDF003.ZIP to the material.
7. I did not correct any information in the Draft 0.03 documents, even though the references to the sketch area and some other links are incorrect.  These will all be cleaned up in CSDocs Foundation version 0.04.
8. When I first populated this portion of the InfoNuovo DMA site on the off-line development system, the files shared from the previous CSDocs Sketch materials all showed up as checked-out.  This is apparently something FrontPage 98 did as part of updating everything in coordination with Visual Source Safe.  My last operation here was to check everything back in and review it off-line through my browser.
1999-12-08-14:01 orcmid
1. Adjusted the text of the index.htm cross references to InfoNuovo InsideDMA and DMAware sites and smoothed some other wordings.
2. Corrected the creation messages at the bottom of the index.htm and default.htm pages.
3. Changed this page's title from Construction Records to Construction Log in the metadata, making agreement with the banner on this page.
4. Had fun hyperlinking construction information and the impacted places on other pages.   [Just wait until InfoNuovo, the adventure, opens!]
1999-12-08-12:45 Start Clean CSDocs Foundation area on InfoNuovo Conclave, the off-line development site (orcmid)
1. Created this construction record and tied it to the Hard Hat Area link on index.htm of the CSDocs foundation section.
2. Updated index.htm to establish the relationship of infonuovo.com/dma to infonuovo.com/DMAware, to infonuovo.com/insideDMA, and to the official sites for DMA 1. 0 and DMAware.
3. Added enough of the infonuovo.com/insideDMA site so that there is a valid link from here, even though there is no meaningful content there yet.
1999-12-03-15:41 Create Foundation Folder for off-line development (orcmid)
1. Added http://conclave/infonuovo/dma/csdocs/foundation folder to the off-line Personal Web Server where the InfoNuovo site is developed using Microsoft FrontPage 98.  The csdocs/sketch folder is out of date and disorganized.  I am pulling out the foundation materials for clean presentation and web access by reviewers of the CSDocs proposals.  I will clean up the sketch after the material on current proposals is current and there is better separation between CSDocs Subcommittee efforts and supplemental, unofficial information added to infonuovo.com.
